Primary Function:

• The Council is a committee of people working as advisories to the Pastor.
• The Council prepares the Parish Mission Statement and reviews it annually.
• The Council performs a needs assessment in the areas of Spiritual Development, Education, Human Concerns, and Parish Life.
• The Council is responsible for providing advice regarding pastoral planning, including periodic re-evaluation of the parish mission statement, ongoing needs assessment, defining parish goals, and setting broad strategies for implementing those goals.  This is done by sharing the goals with the commissions, who share them with the parish organizations and committees.  The commissions and parish organizations and committees help to implement the goals from the perspective of their group.
