• Learn more about Christ • Enhance your faith • Better understand the readings at Mass • Pray using Scripture
Why not come and check us out! Dates are typically listed in the weekly bulletin under “Parish Calendar.”
When: Mondays @ 7pm
Where: St. Marcelline Church, Room 1
Who: Our friendly, welcoming group of diverse men and women make it seem more like a congenial family gathering, rather than a formal classroom setting. New members quickly feel right at home.
Why: “There has never been a book like the Bible – inspired by God and penned by men, deep enough to study for a lifetime, but concise enough to hold in our hands.” Back in the third century, St. Jerome said that “Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ.”
A brief history of St. Marcellline Bible Study:
Bible Study has been offered at St. Marcelline for the past 11 years. We meet on Monday evening from September through May, generally taking off on one Monday of each month.
Previous studies include:
• Luke’s gospel
• Acts of the Apostles
• Matthew’s gospel – the King and His Kingdom
• The Rapture
• Revelation – The Apocalypse
• The Great Adventure Bible Timeline – Salvation History.
• A Biblical Walk through the Mass: Understanding What We Say and Do in the Liturgy.
Bible Study is a great way for Catholic Christians to get together and share our faith, while at the same time learn more about God’s plan for us, and what it means to be Catholic.
